Challenge
Masters Home Improvement opened across Australia in 2011 and was the first to launch a home improvement e-commerce website.
Masters had two online offerings for their customers (the information based website miy.masters.com.au and the transactional website www.masters.com.au) the need to combine and streamline these sites was becoming increasingly necessary. Rysen were engaged to create the solution.
Solution
Rysen redesigned Masters’ digital experience and website from the ground up. Through in depth customer research, user journey mapping workshops and multiple focus group sessions, we formulated a solution to launch Australia’s first eCommerce hardware and home improvement store.
The customer centric solution focused on major user experience enhancements. Collaborating closely with Masters internal development team, we formulated Australia’s first eCommerce hardware and home improvement store which included content rich pages, personalised merchandising, predictive search, live chat, integrated content and an enhanced checkout.
Results
Australia’s first eCommerce hardware and home improvement store. The online store quickly became the chains most successful store in terms of daily sales.
The website was industry recognised by receiving an Online Retail Industry Award (ORIA) for ‘Most Innovative Online Retailer’.
